NHCA Scholarship Foundation
The NHCA Scholarship Foundation (a tax-exempt organization – 501c3)
was begun to provide scholarship awards to graduate students focusing
on applied/practical studies in hearing loss prevention/hearing conservation at regionally accredited institutions. The Foundation fulfills this mission by awarding stipends
to currently enrolled graduate students pursuing research investigations and traveling to the NHCA national convention.
The Foundation is managed by six officers and a student member. The officers are: James Lankford, Ph.D. (President); Mary McDaniel, Au.D. (Treasurer); Jim Jerome (Secretary); John Casali, Ph.D. (Director); Vernon Larson, Ph.D. (Director); and Susan Megerson (Director). The student member is Erin Keller. A Review Committee evaluates the applications and decides who will receive the available scholarships. The same process is used for travel awards to the national convention.
This is an excellent investment in the graduate students pursuing
studies in hearing loss prevent/hearing conservation. Donors are
encouraged and welcomed to give a tax deductible contribution to the Foundation.
