Academic Year 2007 - 08
Elizabeth Baum, pursuing her AuD degree in audiology at Washington University.  Her project was entitled "Noise Exposure to Spectators at National Auto Racing Events."
  Kristen Casto, pursuing her PhD degree in human factors engineering  at Virginia Polytechnic Institute and State University.  Her research will focus on the effect of communications systems, mental workload, and communication demands on pilot performance.

Academic Year 2006-07
Benson Davis, pursuing an AuD degree in audiology at the University of Cincinnati.  His project was entitled “Hearing Protection Attenuation as a Function of Personal Training.”

Sara Gill, pursuing an AuD degree in audiology at the University of Northern Colorado.  Her project was entitled “Assessing Parental Knowledge, Attitudes and Beliefs About Noise-Induced Hearing Loss in Children.”

 

 

 

 

Academic Year 2005-06
Barbara Libbin, pursuing an graduate degree in audiology at the University of Maryland.  Her project was to assess the hearing of marching band members before and after exposures to outdoor performances.

 

  Sandra Romero, pursuing an undergraduate degree in Communicative Disorders at San Diego State University.  Her project was to assess distortion product otoacoustic emissions from 9-20 kHz on young children to help prevent hearing loss from ototoxic drugs.
Academic Year 2003-04
Jill Lockwood, pursuing a Master’s degree in audiology at San Diego State University. Her project was to determine whether the antioxidant nutritional supplement N-acetylcysteine (NAC) could aid in reducing temporary damage in auditory function as a result of exposure to loud music.
  Melissa NormanMelissa Norman, pursuing a doctoral degree in public health at the University of Alabama at Birmingham.  Her project was to evaluate the hearing sensitivity of a group of employees who were removed from the Army Depot hearing conservation program in 1985 and re-enrolled in 2001.


Academic Year 2004-05
Jennifer Hill, pursuing an AuD degree in audiology at Ball State University. Her project was entitled “Effect of Noise Exposure on the Spectral Periodicity of Otoacoustic Emissions.”

 

 

 

 

Jeremy Slagley, pursuing a PhD degree in industrial and management systems engineering.  His project was entitled “Active Noise Control in a Longwall Coal Mining Stageloader Machine.”
