Webinar #6: "Advocating to Reduce the Ill-Effects of Noise Exposure”
Description: Noise exposure causes ill-effects beyond just hearing loss, however historically; the primary focus in the U.S. has been on recordable hearing loss rates. This session raises the issue of advocating for reducing the hazard of noise, changing a corporate philosophy to leading vs. lagging indicators, and rallying the team to make a difference. Ring in the New Year with resolutions regarding hearing health.
Presenter: Peter Rabinowitz, M.D., M.P.H. - University of Washington
Dr. Peter Rabinowitz is Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Clinical Services at the Yale Occupational and Environmental Medicine Program. He is actively engaged in research and clinical activities related to Noise Induced Hearing Loss, and also serves as a medical consultant to Alcoa Inc.
Following the webinar there will be an evaluation distributed to the registrant indicated below which will include a link to the learning assessment questions. Individual Registration - CEUs will only be available to the paid registrant. Webinar Recording registrants will NOT be eligible to receive CEUs.
Webinar Deadlines: CAOHC MUST receive each webinar registration the afternoon prior to each session, no later than 3:00 p.m. MST. If your registration is received after this time then you will only receive the webinar recording. You will receive a confirmation email from Go to Meetings the week of each webinar with login instructions and call information.
