Amanda Azman, Au.D.
Amanda Azman earned her Au.D. at the University of Pittsburgh in 2006. She has been a member of NHCA since 2007, is a member of the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association and is certified by CAOHC as a course director. Dr. Azman is currently a research audiologist for the NIOSH Office of Mine Safety and Health Research. Her work at NIOSH allows her to research innovative methods to prevent occupational hearing loss in the mining industry. Despite the variety of efficacious treatments are available once hearing loss has occurred, she prefers to put her efforts towards hearing loss prevention. She has served on the NHCA Legislative Task Force for two years, and is ready to take on a larger role within the organization. Amanda looks forward to the opportunity to serve as the Director of Membership. She feels it is important to bring in new, fresh members as well as maintain the existing loyal membership base.
