Marjorie Grantham

Carl R. Darnall Army medical Center

Deputy Chief of the Department of Preventive Medicine  

Marjorie Grantham is an active-duty Army audiologist currently assigned to Carl R. Darnall Army Medical Center where she serves as the Deputy Chief of the Department of Preventive Medicine. She served as the Army Hearing Program Manager at U.S. Army Public Health Command. At the Army Research Laboratory, she collaborated with Department of Defense and diverse university and clinical researchers to prevent noise-induced hearing loss among service members. Marjorie earned her M.A. in Communication Sciences and Disorders from The University of Texas at Austin and completed her Clinical Fellowship at Walter Reed Army Medical Center. For 11 years, she managed Army installation comprehensive hearing conservation programs, prior to earning a Ph.D. in Hearing Science from Vanderbilt University. Dr. Grantham’s primary research interests are auditory perception, with and without input from other modalities, and divided auditory attention. Colonel Grantham is a Fellow of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA). She is also a member and past president of the Military Audiology Association. Marjorie has served as a Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation certified course director since 1995, previously served as an NHCA website correspondent and on the NHCA Scholarship Foundation, and is a regular contributor to the NHCA Silent Auction
