The overarching theme is to provide improved hearing conservation solutions with anemphasis on evidence-based practice. This proactive philosophy has emphasized studies on drug therapies to protect and rescue ears from noise-induced hearing loss, and also includes evaluations of mobile apps for noise level measurement, efficacy of sound suppressors for noise reduction, changes in earplug use after the adopt-a-band educational program, and development of models to identify “hidden” hearing loss after noise insult.
