The National Hearing Conservation Association is accepting abstract submissions for the 2026 Annual Conference, happening in Fort Worth, TX, Feb 5-7, 2026. Please see the details below for information on how to submit!

The Submission deadline is September 4, 2025. Abstracts will be reviewed by the conference planning committee and recruited reviewers, by October 5, 2025. 

Continuing Education Credits: NHCA will secure continuing education credits for the conference. If your proposal is accepted you may be required to provide additional information for purposes of verification of credits.

Submission Instructions: 

The lead presenter will receive a confirmation of receipt. Once submitted, revisions to abstracts cannot be accepted. Late submissions will not be accepted.

NOTE: 

• You cannot start a submission, save it and come back later to finalize/submit. 
• You can submit an abstract and access your submission to review and update it. 
• Late submissions will not be accepted. 

You will need to complete the following information on the Call for Papers form, so please be prepared: 

1. You must submit an abstract with the following information:

• Presentation Title and Description [200 word limit]
• Lead Presenter and Abstract Contact (Name, job title or role (e.g., student), organization, address, phone #, email)
• Lead Presenter’s Biography and Credentials [200 word limit]
• Additional Presenters or co-authors full name and credentials (up to 5)
• Preferred Session Type and Format(Live, Recorded or Live/Recorded)

            – Thursday Afternoon Workshop
            – Friday/Saturday Platform
            – Poster Presentation
            – Open to either Platform or Poster Presentation

2. Continuing Education Credits: NHCA will secure continuing education credits for the conference. If your proposal is accepted you may be required to provide additional information for purposes of verification of credits.

3. You must provide three educational objectives (required by ASHA for CEU approval) Tips for Writing Objectives

4. You must download and complete a Conflict of Interest Form. Conflict of interest explained- Program Planners/Instructional personnel who may have a relevant relationship (financial or non-financial) if that relationship could influence the information presented in the course and could be perceived as a conflict of interest by learners. Please note that this includes participation in NHCA’s Executive Council or other relationships to the organization. Download the ASHA Conflict of Interest Form for the primary presenter and all co-presenters (required by ASHA for CEU approval).*

5. You must adhere to the following regarding merchandising (non-commercialism): Presenters shall not sell or promote any product or service during the session presentation. Product or service sales will be restricted to the vendor exhibit hall or areas other than in the general session room (which includes break-out session rooms). If part of a workshop that promotes a unified concept (i.e., boothless audiometry, hearing protector fit testing, etc.), presenters shall be allowed to demonstrate their product(s), but sales will be restricted as noted above.

Once submitted, the lead presenter will receive an email confirmation with a link to the presenter portal to be able to review and revise the submission, if needed.

Please Note: ONLY completed submissions including forms for all co-presenters will be considered for review. All forms must be submitted before the deadline. Partial submissions will not be considered.

All submissions will be reviewed and participants will be notified of acceptance by October 4, 2025.
