Call for Nominations 2021 Safe-in-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Awards

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health, the National Hearing Conservation Association and the Council for Accreditation in Occupational Hearing Conservation are now inviting nominations to the 2021 Safe-In-Sound Excellence in Hearing Loss Prevention Award. The awards will be presented on February 12, 2021 the 45th Annual Hearing Conservation Conference in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

The awards recognize those who demonstrate, by example, the benefits of developing or following good hearing loss prevention practices. Nominations are invited in 2 categories. The Excellence award recognizes employers that go out of their way to ensure the safety of employees' hearing by implementing exemplary hearing loss prevention programs. The Innovation award recognizes individuals or organizations for their dedication to fostering, creating and implementing new and unique evidence-based advances in the prevention of hearing loss and creating innovative solutions to real workplace hearing loss prevention challenges. Both third-party and self-nominations are encouraged.

Safe-in-Sound Award winning stories are shared and showcased at the award ceremony, online http://www.safeinsound.us/winners.html and in press releases disseminated to the occupational health and hearing research communities. A representative of the selected enterprises/organizations will receive support to present at the Conference, where they receive the award.

Please send a letter of intent describing why the individual or the organization they are nominating deserves the award to [email protected] by June 8th, 2020.   With the guidance of the award committee, nominations are required to be completed by July 15, 2020.
