IJA Supplement

NHCA, in cooperation with the National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH) have partnered to organize and edit a supplemental issue of the International Journal of Audiology, highlighting the research presented at NHCA’s Annual Conferences. Starting with the 2010 NHCA conference, guest editors have selected papers from the conference that were developed into original research articles to be published in the journal.  At the conference the following year, attendees have been provided with a printed copy of the supplement. The partnership between NHCA and NIOSH is one example of advancing the best practices for the hearing loss prevention community.  The fourth supplement is on schedule to be distributed at the 39th NHCA annual conference to be held in Las Vegas in March 2014.

The special supplement is one way NHCA and NIOSH collaborate to extend the reach of the information, innovative ideas, and practical experience shared at our conference with a broader audience and to promote the prevention of noise-induced hearing loss and tinnitus on a global level. This fourth supplement issue would not have been possible without the financial underwriting provided by the following sponsors; Honeywell, Safe-in-Sound, Roger Angelelli, NHCA, and NIOSH. We sincerely appreciate their confidence and commitment.
