Media Award

Dear NHCA members,

Raising awareness of noise-induced hearing loss and its prevention is an important mission of NHCA.

The NHCA Media Award was established in 1993 to recognize the efforts of writers and/or producers of news features that serve to heighten public awareness of the hazards of noise.  It is also available to NHCA members who take the time and effort to bring hearing conservation related issues into public light.  Nominations for this award may be from non-NHCA members, and NHCA members are encouraged to nominate themselves.

As chairperson of the Nominations Task Force, I am requesting nominations for the 2014 NHCA Media Award. The Nominations Task Force will review all information submitted and make recommendations to the President, who will have final approval.  The award winner will receive a monetary sum and certificate during our annual conference.

Entries are to be submitted to the NHCA Executive Director by no later than COB August 30, 2013.  Please use the form below to submit your Media Award nomination.

Nominations will be reviewed by the Nominations Task Force, and a winner will be selected for final approval by the President.

I hope you will take advantage of this opportunity to recognize and encourage efforts by the media to keep hearing conservation efforts in the public arena.

Beth Cooper
